Northern Education Trust are outcomes focused, child centred.

We are unswerving in our commitment to ensure that the outcomes our young people secure prepare them fully for life beyond school. Our Academies are happy and thriving communities where children both achieve and feel safe and cared for. As an inclusive Trust we strive to help young people overcome any barrier to learning. We are a caring employer and invest heavily in professional development, allowing our staff opportunities to take the next steps in their career.

We constantly focus on standards as we understand outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for children. By doing this we enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care.

🌞 This Week in Nursery 🌞

✨ What a fantastic week of learning and exploring we have had in Nursery! 🌈😊

☀️ This week, we have been learning all about staying safe in the summer sun! 😎🌻 The children enjoyed talking about the different ways we can keep ...ourselves safe, including:

🌳 Staying in the shade
👒 Wearing a sun hat
🕶️ Wearing sunglasses
💧 Drinking lots of water
🧴 Applying suncream

📝🎶 To help us remember these important sun safety rules, we learned and confidently recited a special summer safety poem together. ☀️👏

🌱🐞 In SCARF, we have been learning about how animals and plants grow and change during the summer. 🌼🦋 The children became nature detectives 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️ as we went on a walk around our school grounds, looking closely at the signs of summer all around us. 🌳🌸☀️

🍃🌼 As we explored, we collected natural treasures to create our very own nature bracelets. 📿✨ We carefully chose items that reminded us of the wonderful changes that happen during summertime and talked about what we could see 👀, hear 👂, and feel 🤲 in nature.

💛 We are so proud of all the children for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and fantastic learning this week! 🌟👏😊🌈✨

💙 Pledge Your Support and Make a Difference This Carers Week 💙

Today, in our Key Stage Two assembly, we came together to make The We Care You Care Carers Pledge 🤝 to help support the thousands of people across South Tees who care for family members and friends.

We talked ...about the importance of recognising the tireless work that carers do every day 🌟 and raising awareness of carers within our local community. We also discussed the fantastic work of The Junction Foundation in supporting young carers and remembered their visit to school last year, when they delivered an inspiring assembly about their work.

As part of our pledge, we promised to help make Badger Hill a more carer-friendly community and to raise awareness wherever we can. Ellie in Year 6 suggested sharing our assembly and pledge with our Badger Hill families on Facebook and Dojo to encourage others to make the pledge too! 💙

Evelyn in Year 5 suggested sharing information about the charity We Care You Care so that families in our community can access support and advice if they need it. Many people may not realise that they are carers themselves, and there is so much support available. 🌈

In our Key Stage One assembly, we explored the many ways people care for one another in everyday life ❤️. We thought about how adults care not only for children, but also for other adults. We then read the story Up and Down Mum 📖 and discussed how the different characters worked together to support both the mum and the child when extra help was needed.

We all agreed that caring for others is incredibly important, but so is supporting those who spend their time caring for others. 💕 Together, we can help make a difference. We Care You Care

Our Year 6 Junior Leadership Team had a wonderful time attending the St Margaret’s Church Coffee Morning this week ☕️😊

The children were fantastic ambassadors for our school, helping to sell raffle tickets, drawing the raffle, washing up the pots and, most importantly, spending ...time chatting with members of the local community.

A special thank you to Mrs Cuthbert for kindly treating everyone to juice and cake afterwards – it was very much appreciated!

We are so proud of how confidently and respectfully our pupils represented our school. Opportunities like this are a lovely way to strengthen our links with the local community and remind us what a friendly and welcoming place it is.

Thank you to everyone at St Margaret’s Church for making us feel so welcome – we look forward to visiting again.
