Northern Education Trust are outcomes focused, child centred.

We are unswerving in our commitment to ensure that the outcomes our young people secure prepare them fully for life beyond school. Our Academies are happy and thriving communities where children both achieve and feel safe and cared for. As an inclusive Trust we strive to help young people overcome any barrier to learning. We are a caring employer and invest heavily in professional development, allowing our staff opportunities to take the next steps in their career.

We constantly focus on standards as we understand outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for children. By doing this we enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care.

🏃‍♀️ Get Ready for an Inspiring Monday 🏃‍♂️

We’re excited to welcome a professional athlete to our school this Monday for a fun and active sponsored fitness event, helping us raise vital funds for brand-new sports equipment.

Our athlete will lead all of the ...children through a sponsored fitness circuit, followed by a presentation and Q&A session where they’ll have the opportunity to find out more about life as a professional athlete.

📋 Key Details for Parents & Carers

Sponsor Forms: Children have been sent home with their official sponsorship forms, so please check their bags.

Our Goal: All money raised will go towards purchasing new, high-quality PE and sports equipment to help keep our pupils active, healthy and engaged. Every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.

The Event: The fitness circuit will be designed for all abilities and will encourage teamwork, perseverance and a love of being active.

💪 How You Can Help
Gather Sponsors: Encourage your child to ask friends, family and neighbours to sponsor them. Small donations can quickly add up.
Get Ready for Monday: Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit and brings a refillable water bottle, ready to get active.

Return Forms: Completed sponsor forms and collected money should be returned to school one week after the event.

Thank you, as always, for your support in keeping our children active and helping us improve our sports resources. 💙

🌟 100% Attendance Winners 🌟

A huge well done to Kacie (KS1) and Matilda (KS2), who both had 100% attendance for our first two days back and were the lucky winners of our attendance raffle.

They have each received a £10 voucher. 🎉

Who will be our lucky winners ...this week? Keep coming to school every day for your chance to win.

🌟 Our First Week Back 🌟

Our amazing Year 6 have settled straight back into their routines and have been an absolute pleasure to work with!

We have begun exploring our new class read, ‘The Light Jar’, and investigated life in Dhaka, comparing this with life in Brotton ...and the UK.

The children have also had lots of fun creating their own Harry Potter-style avatars for our Reading Routes display. 📚

It has been a fantastic start to the year, and we can’t wait to see what Year 6 achieve as the year progresses! 👏

💜 Weigh, Stay & Play is back! 💜

We’re excited to welcome families back to our Weigh, Stay & Play sessions at Badger Hill Academy this term!

Come along with your little one for a relaxed morning of play, exploring and meeting other families, with a different fun ...theme at every session.

Our sessions are for children aged 0–5 years and their parents and carers. A Health Visitor will also be available if you would like advice, support or to have your little one weighed – but there is absolutely no obligation to use this service.

📍 Badger Hill Academy, Marston Road, Brotton, TS12 2ZP
⏰ Tuesdays, 9.00–10.00am

Take a look at the poster for all of our dates and themes. Everyone is welcome – we’d love to see you there! 💕

🌟 Our First Week Back 🌟

Our new Year 5 children have settled in so well and have already been busy getting stuck into school life! 💛

We’ve created some amazing artwork, got our brains working with our Maths learning and even tackled a tricky collaborative challenge — ...building the biggest tower possible using nothing but newspaper and sellotape!
There was plenty of teamwork, creativity and problem-solving… and a fair bit of tower wobbling!

It’s been fantastic to see everyone getting stuck in, working together and showing what they can do. We’re already looking forward to all the exciting things Year 5 will get up to this year! 👏
