Northern Education Trust are outcomes focused, child centred.

We are unswerving in our commitment to ensure that the outcomes our young people secure prepare them fully for life beyond school. Our Academies are happy and thriving communities where children both achieve and feel safe and cared for. As an inclusive Trust we strive to help young people overcome any barrier to learning. We are a caring employer and invest heavily in professional development, allowing our staff opportunities to take the next steps in their career.

We constantly focus on standards as we understand outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for children. By doing this we enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care.

🦡Welcome back, Badgers 🦡

What a lovely way for our Reception and Key Stage 1 children to start their new school year!

This morning, the children enjoyed a special Welcome Back Assembly with Mrs Brook, who shared the wonderful story Do Unto Otters: A Book About Manners by ...Laurie Keller. 🦦📖

Together, we talked about the importance of being kind, polite, respectful and thoughtful towards others — and what it means to be proud to be a Badger. 🦡

It was such a lovely opportunity to remind our children of the values that make our school community so special and to set us off to a fantastic year together.

Welcome back, Badgers — we are so proud of you! 💜

🌊🐚 Reception's Seaside Adventures! ☀️🏖️

What a fantastic time we've had in Reception!

We have been learning all about Saltburn, our nearest seaside resort. The children discovered why so many people love to visit, including the famous cliff lift, Saltburn ...Pier and, of course, the delicious ice cream! 🍦🌊

✍️ In our writing area, we created our own postcards from Saltburn to send to family and friends.
🪼 Inspired by our class story, The Search for the Giant Arctic Jellyfish, we made colourful jellyfish puppets in our malleable area.
🐚 In Maths, we used shells to practise doubling, while in our Art and Construction areas we created fantastic under-the-sea scenes full of imagination and creativity. 🎨🐠
🧲 Outside, we became treasure hunters, using our knowledge of magnets and metals to search for the buried treasure that Mrs Lyth had hidden for us. 🏴‍☠️💰

The children have shown fantastic curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm throughout their learning, and we are so proud of all they have achieved. 🌟💙

What a wonderful seaside adventure it has been! 🌊✨

🏆 CELEBRATING OUR NET GAMES CHAMPIONS! 🏆

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome a very special guest to hand out some well-deserved awards to our incredible Year 4 and Year 5 students! ⚽️✨

A huge thank you to ex-Sunderland player and American football scholar, Daisy ...Cook, who visited us to present the children with their official certificates following their massive success at the recent NET Games competition! 🥇📜

Our young athletes showed incredible teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Having an inspiring role model like Daisy—who has taken her game all the way from Sunderland AFC to the US college system—made the moment even more unforgettable.

A massive congratulations to all of our Year 4 & 5 superstars—you have made the whole school incredibly proud! 🙌🌟

🔬🌟 Summer Super Scientists! 🌟🔬

A huge congratulations to our fantastic Summer Super Scientists at Badger Hill Academy! 🧪✨

Mrs Lyth has been incredibly impressed to see so many children across school showing such amazing curiosity and enthusiasm for science. From ...asking thoughtful questions and making careful observations, to exploring ideas and drawing sensible conclusions, our young scientists have shown a real passion for discovering how the world around them works. 🌍💡

It was a joy to celebrate their achievements alongside their families during our final Pride and Joy Assembly of the year. 💜👏

Well done to all of our Summer Super Scientists! Your curiosity, determination and love of learning make you a credit to Badger Hill Academy. Keep asking questions, keep exploring and keep discovering! 🔬💜🦡
