🦖✨ Our Year 1/2 children had a fantastic time taking part in an exciting Dino Racers webinar with author Andy Day, from CBeebies and Andy and the Odd Socks! 📚🎉 During the online session, Andy introduced his new Dino Racers series, shared his passion for dinosaurs, and amazed everyone ...with some fascinating real-life dinosaur facts. 🦕🤩
🎨 The children thoroughly enjoyed the draw-along with illustrator Alex Patrick, where they followed step-by-step instructions to create their own dinosaur artwork. It was wonderful to see their creativity, focus and enthusiasm shine through, with many choosing to add their own creative details to make their dinosaur unique. 🖍️🌟
📖🦖 The webinar was a brilliant blend of storytelling, learning and art. The children loved listening to the opening of the story and are now eager to read on and find out what happens next! 💚

🌱🔬 Year 1 & 2 Have Been Budding Botanists! 🌼🌻
This half term, our Year 1 and 2 children have been busy becoming young botanists in Science! 🌿🪴
The children have been learning all about plants and can now confidently identify the different parts of a plant, ...including the roots, stem, leaves and flower. 🌱 They have enjoyed discovering how each part plays an important role in helping a plant grow strong and healthy.
As part of our investigations, we planted mustard, radish and sunflower seeds. 🌻🌱 The children are excited to observe how their plants change and grow over time, and they have been asking some fantastic scientific questions along the way. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, enthusiasm and love of learning blossom! 💚🔍
Next, we will be exploring different trees and leaves 🌳🍃 and learning about our key scientist, Beatrix Potter. 📚🐇 We can't wait to continue our scientific journey and discover even more about the amazing natural world around us!
Well done, Year 1 & 2! We are so proud of your inquisitive minds and fantastic scientific thinking! ⭐👏
